Week 2

I started to work on my research report so i got myself a laptop and researched about different ways of advertising campaigns and named a few so i could compare them to who advertises more and the differences between two different companies.

Liam Wells CAMPAIGN

We have switched sides and we now starting on photography, Where we will doing a project about campaigning. Starting off, we did a little exercise on when we pretended that we came home from holiday and fouind out our house was underwater and the only thing that survived is the yellow pages which is on the top shelf and we had to find a plumber's number in the quickest time and we had to explain why we chose that certain one. I chose the one that first came towards my eye sight which was the Massive one in the centre of the page because it stood out at the page with bright and clear title "24 HOUR EMERGANCY PLUMBING" and the title basically saids it all which makes you feel a little more knowledgable. But in other people's point of view, It may seem to someone that it implys that your company or yourself as a indidviual, make you seem expensive and which is why half of the customers that see your advert think that you are too expensive. This made me more aware for whenever i come to sell something and have to pick out the size of the ad, i will want to not to big and not to small so people don't think that my company is too expensive for them. But some people on the other hand may they are only expensive because they do the best job. Plus using a image of a nice person with a smile (the person you call) makes it seem like that company is polite and good to use because they will listen carefully and get the job done. why they advertise like this : people in an emergency are than likely to look for the ad that is placed roughly in the middle and bigger enough for them to spot straight away.
